We are proudly based in the San Franciso Bay Area of Northern California, where each product is crafted with care and intention.

How do you pronounce Mawamo?
It’s Mah-wah-moh—a name that flows like the balance we embody.

Where do you ship?
Currently, we ship within the United States, with plans to expand internationally soon.

How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 3-5 business days, and shipping times vary based on your location. You’ll receive tracking details once your order ships.

Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes, we offer expedited shipping options at checkout. If you need a rush order, please email us at hello@mawamo.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I modify or cancel my order?
Once an order is placed, we begin processing it quickly. If you need to make changes, please get in touch with us within 24 hours, and we’ll try to assist you.

What makes Mawamo candles different?
Our candles are made with a luxurious coconut wax blend, known for its clean burn, excellent scent throw, and sustainability. We use high-quality fragrance blends (without disclosing proprietary compositions) to create immersive, intentional scent experiences.

Are your products natural and non-toxic?
Yes! We prioritize clean, high-quality ingredients free from parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. Our products are crafted to be safe for your space, skin, and senses.

Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes, our candles are vegan, and have never been tested on animals.

Why coconut wax?
Coconut wax is a luxurious, sustainable alternative to traditional waxes. It holds fragrance exceptionally well, giving you an elevated experience every time you light a Mawamo candle.

How strong are your scents?
We curate scents to be balanced yet immersive. Some are light and airy, while others are deep and grounding. Each scent is designed to fill your space without overwhelming it.

Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?
We use a combination of both to create rich, complex, and long-lasting scents while maintaining clean formulations.


CANDLE CARE & BURNING TIPS

How do I get the best burn from my Mawamo candle?
To ensure an optimal burn:
Trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each use.
✔ Coconut wax does not need to reach the edge of the vessel on the first few burns.
Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time for safety and longevity.

What should I do if my candle tunnels?
Tunneling happens when a candle doesn’t burn evenly. If this occurs, try:
✔ Wrap in aluminum foil to lock in the heat, slowly melting the wax along the sides of your candle.

Can I reuse my candle vessel?
Absolutely! Once your candle is finished, gently remove the remaining wax, clean the vessel with warm soapy water, and repurpose it for storage, planters, or décor.


BATH & BODY CARE

What skin types are Mawamo bath and body products suitable for?
Our formulas are designed to be gentle, nourishing, and suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. However, we always recommend doing a patch test before full use.

Do your body products contain shea butter?
No, we formulate our Whipped Body Butter without shea butter, using Mango Butter, Kokum Butter, and Murumuru Butter instead for a lighter, more absorbent texture.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. However, if you receive a damaged or defective item, please reach out within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right.

What if I don’t like a scent I ordered?
We get it, scent is personal. While we don’t offer returns, we encourage trying our smaller-sized offerings or gifting an unwanted item to a fellow Muse.
